Since The Beginning
Cable was an essential component of any access control network to provide a data link from each door controller back to the main system for management and reporting.
The IT World standardised on TCP/IP for data communication which was eventually adopted by the security industry. Secure wireless network access was a quantum leap in convenience for IT users but strangely has never been successfully exploited for physical access control - until now!!
No Back Doors?
As we live in an age of seemingly endless media reports of "hacking" and unauthorised data access, GSD products utilise ZigBee® protocol which includes bank standard high security 128-bit AES encryption for secure data transmission.
For additional security the system database is also encrypted.
GSD Door controllers are securely linked to the wireless network during installation.  The wireless network is then "locked down" preventing unauthorised access.
Total System Flexibility
To avoid the inevitable compromise of a "one size fits all" approach, this wireless access control system offers a choice of Small, Medium or Large scaleable network models to meet the requirement and suit the budget of all installations from a single door up to 2000 doors.

GSD Wi-Plus Network Controller
 
The GSD Wi-Plus controller provides wireless connectivity for up to 10 wireless door controllers over a secure network (Zigbee IE 802.15.4 standard with 32 bit to 128 bit AES encryption). 
 
Simple software upgrade can increase door capacity up to 15 doors per controller with no additional hardware.  Up to 45 doors may be controlled by networking 3 controllers together via RS485 cable.
 
For larger systems a maximum of 10 Wi-Plus controllers may be networked via software upgrade via TCP/IP connection to provide control for up to 150 doors!
 
Interfaces with GSD Wi-Plus Software.

Enrols fingerprints centrally for example at the reception desk. Extremely convenient when there are more than one GSD Fingerprint Door ContrGSD Fingerprint Enrolment Readerol Switch on the network or when there are high volumes of personnel being enrolled regularly. Once a fingerprint has been read by the USB Fingerprint Enroller you can select which Fingerprint Switch location they are authorised for access using the GSD Software application.
