Our history
In the 1990s, a team of seasoned security industry professionals identified the need for a specialist access control distributor and formed ID Plus Ltd to occupy this niche. The company was so successful that it was purchased by HID Corporation in 1999.
Much has changed since then with the 21st Century seeing increased demand for integrated security systems and Smart Building solutions which are able to deliver convenience, energy efficiency and a higher level of security. The team behind ID Plus recognised the opportunity to put their combined experience and expertise to good use by working with professional installers and system integrators to meet this rising demand for added-value solution and re-formed, (but not reformed!) in 2010. Since then it has been able to establish clear blue water between Smart R and other distributors in terms of offering objective, professional advice on the latest advances in technology.
