For use with HID iCLASS ®(13.56MHz) Readers
HID's iCLASS cards provide a solution where smartcard technology is required to host read/write applications, have multiple applications on a single card e.g. access control and cashless vending, or the enhanced security of data encryption and mutual authentication is specified.
iCLASS technology operates at 13.56 MHz to allow fast communication of larger volumes of data than is possible with traditional 125 KHz proximity technology in the time it takes to present a card to a reader.

iCLASS cards operate as read-only cards for simple applications or can be read/write for more complex applications where card data can be changed when a card is presented e.g. for cashless trading/vending applications where an "electronic purse" on the card can be decremented or incremented.

HID's iCLASS Clamshell card provides 13.56 MHz read/write contactless smart-card technology in a cost effective card package, utilising a more-robust ABS shell construction (similar to that of  the 125 KHz ProxCard II) to provide durability within harsh environments.
 
Available in 2k bit (256 Byte), two application area configuration only providing the HID standard access control application area and one other application area for user customisation.

Suitable for printing, the HID 200x iCLASS card meets the ISO standard for card size and thickness for use with direct image and thermal transfer printers. It features a graphics quality surface optimized for Photo ID printing, and is available in standard PVC construction, or a composite polyester/PVC construction for more demanding high wear-and-tear environments.
 
The card can be produced with visual security and anti-counterfeiting features such as holograms, ultra-violet fluorescent inks, micro-printing, or a custom logo to quickly and easily identify genuine cards.
 
Available in various memory configurations and capacities:
  • Model 2000 - 2k bit (256 byte), 2 Application areas 
  • Model 2001 - now obsolete - replaced by 2003
  • Model 2002 - now obsolete - replaced by 2004
  • Model 2003 - 32k bit (4K Byte) 2+1 Application areas

Combination Technology iCLASS and HID Proximity Card
HID's multi-technology iCLASS and HID Proximity Technology Cards feature both iCLASS 13.56 MHz contactless read/write smart-card technology and HID Proximity technology in a single card to facilitate migration from one technology to another. 
 
Both technologies can be programmed to the same card ID number or may be programmed to different site codes and formats if you need to use two different systems.  For example a shared building may have proximity readers on the parking barrier but the client may use iCLASS technology for their own doors or other application such as cashless vending or printer control using a single credential with multiple technologies
 
The iCLASS Embeddable Card meets strict ISO thickness standards for use with direct image and thermal transfer printers and  are available in standard PVC card construction, or composite Polyester/PVC construction for more demanding environments.
 
The cards can be produced with visual security and anti-counterfeiting features such as holograms, ultra-violet fluorescent printing, micro-printing and custom logos to quickly and easily identify genuine cards.
  • Designed to be embedded with an optional contact smart chip module of your choice
  • Enables contact smart chip applications to be added to iCLASS or iCLASS Prox cards in a single ISO standard thickness card
  • Available in standard PVC card construction, or Composite Polyester/PVC construction for more demanding environments
  • Offers the ability to add a magnetic stripe, barcode, anti-counterfeiting feature, custom artwork, or photo ID
