125KHz Farpointe Data Pyramid Series Proximity Readers

Farpointe Data, based in California USA, have been manufacturing a wide range of 125 KHz readers with an unrivalled reputation for class-leading performance and energy efficiency.

Being able to address smaller niche markets, Farpointe Data have a number of unique readers for specialist applications including very long range and even bullet-proof readers! (we are not kidding!)

Their Pyramid Series Proximity® readers are based upon proven contactless digital radio frequency identification (RFID) technology - assuring compatibility with the widest range of standard electronic access control systems through making use of industry standard interfaces, such as the Wiegand format. Further, their product line offers unique Pyramid-only features such as MAXSecure™ and fleaPower™. And finally, Pyramid Series offers optional HID® or AWID® compatibility. P-300 Cascade Proximity Reader

The P-300 reader is designed for mounting door or window frames (mullions) and is tuned to work well when mounted on metal.

Model P-300-H includes the option of HID compatibility, and model P-300-A includes the option of AWID compatiblity.

The single-piece P-300 delivers non-contact read range of up to 6 inches (152 mm), and operates from 5 to 14 VDC. Physical size is a compact 3.2 x 1.7 x 0.7 inches (80 x 43 x 17 mm). Mounting is simplified with horizontal and vertical mounting slots which allow the reader to be conveniently adjusted and levelled. To allow both indoor and outdoor operation the electronics are secured in tamper-resistant epoxy potting.

The P-300 is supplied with BOTH black and off-white covers as standard to allow you to select the best finish at the time of installation.

P-500 Alps Proximity Reader

The model P-500 is designed for mounting on a standard North American single-gang wall switch box.

Model P-500-H includes the option of HID® compatibility, and model P-500-A includes the option of AWID® compatiblity.

The single-piece P-500 delivers non-contact read ranges up to 8 inches (203 mm), and operates from 5 to 14 VDC. Physical size is a compact Physical size is 4.6 x 3.0 x 0.4 inches (116 x 77 x 10 mm). Mounting is simplified with horizontal and vertical mounting slots, instead of simple holes, which allow the reader to be conveniently adjusted and leveled. P-400 Gibraltar Proximity Reader

P-400 "Gibraltar" Bullet-Proof Proximity Reader

The model P-400 is a vandal-resistant bullet-proof reader intended to be installed in locations where crime and vandalism are constant threats. Model P-400-H includes the option of HID compatibility, and model P-400-A includes the option of AWID compatiblity.

The single-piece P-400 delivers a non-contact read range of up to 1 inch (25 mm), and operates from 5 to 14 VDC. Physical size is a compact 5.25 x 2 x 0.75 inches (134 x 51 x 19 mm). To allow both indoor and outdoor operation the electronics are secured in tamper-resistant epoxy potting. Mounting provisions include two countersunk 0.25 inch thru-holes, as well as four ¼-20 tapped holes in the back, providing the option of a tamper-proof blind mount.

Constructed of stainless steel and Fiber-Tex® (UL752 listed for bulletproof integrity) providing a high level of vandal resistance.

The model P-640 is designed to be mounted directly to standard North American sized single-gang wall box, and integrates both a proximity reader and keypad into a single-unit making it ideal for applications requiring an access credential and/or personal identification number (PIN).

Model P-640-H includes the option of HID compatibility, and model P-640-A includes the option of AWID compatiblity.

Keypad data is transmitted via the reader’s data lines in either an 8-Bit Burst or 26-Bit Wiegand data format - configurable via a special configuration card (included). The alpha-numeric keypad itself makes use of a durable (no moving parts), non-mechanical capacitive technology. It includes advanced enhancements including blue backlighting and a continuously illuminated 5-key, both for orientation at night, tactile feedback, and a raised ‘pip’ on the 5-key for use by visually impaired individuals.

The single-piece P-640 delivers non-contact read ranges up to 6 inches (152 mm), and operates from 5 to 14 VDC. Physical size is a compact 4.6 x 3 x 0.70 inches (117 x 77 x 18 mm). Delivering a longer read range, the model P-900 is intended for applications calling for heightened levels of convenience, such as car parking and high-volume employee entrances.

The P-900 Proximity Reader is a member of the Pyramid Series Proximity® line of OEM proximity readers, cards and tags. A high performance design, it is classified as a long range reader, and is capable of delivering read ranges of up to 20-inches (508 mm). The longer read range of the P-900 adds convenience to a wide range of access applications, including turnstiles and parking control.

Model version P-900-H includes the option of HID® compatibility.
